Thank you
The people who chipped in
Kiri is free, has no ads and sells nothing to anybody. It runs because a few people decided to cover part of what it costs. Everyone below asked, separately, to be named — and can ask to be taken off at any time.
With thanks
Named because they asked to be
A name goes up only when somebody switches it on in their account, and comes down the same way. Nothing else about them is here — no amount, no date, no country. What we do with data, in full, and none of it is veterinary advice.
Nobody has asked to be named yet. The page exists first so that the choice is a real one rather than something invented later.
How a name gets here
Four steps, and you decide three of them
Giving and being named are two different decisions. The second one is made later, in your own account, and it can be undone in one tap.
Somebody gives
Through Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, or a plan that covers what the photo storage costs. This page is not mentioned at that moment, and nothing about giving asks for a name.
A switch appears in the account
Under Account, in the supporter panel, off until it is touched. Nobody is added by donating — that is the whole point of it being a switch rather than a consequence.
You choose the name yourself
Its own field, never the name your household sees inside the app. A first name, an initial, a bird’s name — whatever you want the open web to have, and nothing else goes with it.
It appears at the next rebuild
This page is a file rather than a live query, so a name arrives when the page is next generated. Switching the toggle off deletes the row, and the build after that has no trace of it.
Nobody on this page bought anything. The app was already free when they gave, and it is the same app for everyone who did not.
What it costs to run
You do not have to give anything
Every part of Kiri is free and always will be. If you want to help with the running costs anyway, the ways to do it are in the app, under Account.
