⚕️ Not veterinary advice
The most important document here. Read it once, fully.
This app is educational
Kiri is a learning and care-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, and it does not replace a consultation with a veterinarian experienced in birds.
If your bird seems ill, injured, listless, is breathing with difficulty, is bleeding, or has been exposed to something toxic — call an avian vet immediately. Do not wait while you look for an answer in the app.
Birds hide illness
As a prey species, conures mask symptoms until late. By the time a sign is visible, the problem may already be advanced. This is why the app encourages regular weighing and daily observation — but neither is a medical test.
What the safety content actually is
The hazards directory, the emergency screen, the behaviour guide and the food list are cautious starting points compiled from veterinary sources cited in the app. They are not guarantees.
- "Generally safe" does not mean safe in any amount, in any form, for any bird.
- An unknown item is marked as such and must be treated as "do not use", not as "probably fine".
- The behaviour guide suggests possible patterns. It does not diagnose and does not rule out a medical cause.
- Age, weight, exact species, medication and individual condition completely change what is safe.
The data you enter
Your routine, weights, tricks and pet-sitter sheet are your own notes. The app stores and displays them; it does not interpret them medically and does not warn you in place of a vet.
The weight-drop alert is a plain percentage threshold, not a clinical assessment.
Limitation of liability
You use the app at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for care decisions made on the basis of information in the app, for consequences to a bird's health, for incomplete or outdated information, or for the app being unavailable at a critical moment.
The app needs an internet connection for your data. Do not rely on it as your only source in an emergency — keep your vet's phone numbers outside the app as well.
